A brand-new season of young talents reality-based singing competition is back and it’s going to be bigger than ever – The Chosen One S2! The show’s reality format aims to unearth talents below the age of 18 with a strong social media presence scouted from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms, pairing them with well-known performers to develop the next generation of young stars.
Amir Sisi, a 12-year-old Orang Asli boy from the Temiar ethnic group, emerged as last season’s champion and went viral in both Malaysia and Indonesia, garnering 235 million views on TikTok and becoming a cultural icon for Orang Asli representation [Source].
The top 16 contestants selected from the blind audition will compete to form a couple with the well-known celebrity in its main show with epic performances and out of the box surprises in a comedy coated show. The children will get a chance to nurture their talent, kickstarting their journey of becoming the next Chosen One!
The on-ground audition commences from 28 Jun – 21 July 2024, inviting all Malaysians who are 7-18 years old with >100K viewers on social media platform.
After multiple rounds of elimination, only the top four (4) finalists will be competing in the LIVE Grand Final whereby the finalist with the highest score will be the Champion of the Competition and the remaining two (2) finalists with the next highest scores in turn will be the 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up.
